Who Are We?

We're Darren and Pauline Harris, a husband-and-wife team from the Vale of Glamorgan, South Wales.
Together, we're building Tathan Property around two things we believe strongly in: making money work harder and making a real difference through property.
For Darren, property is built on experience. With more than 38 years of construction and commercial experience, including 15 years as a builder and over 23 years in senior Quantity Surveying roles, he brings extensive knowledge of construction, costs, contracts and project delivery. His career portfolio includes more than £1 billion in major construction projects.
For Pauline, property is personal.
Eleven years ago, she found herself homeless with a young child, sharing a three-bedroom home with three adults and five children.
Then a local landlord gave her a chance.
Despite having no income other than benefits and no credit history, they trusted Pauline with a tenancy. That one decision gave her something priceless: a safe home, stability and the opportunity to rebuild her life.
Pauline has never forgotten it.
That's why, for us, property is about more than bricks and mortar. It's about creating opportunities, building something worthwhile and helping turn tired properties into safe, secure homes for families.
Darren brings the property and commercial expertise.
Pauline brings the people and relationships.
Together, we're building a property business with purpose as well as profit.
And when we're not working, you'll usually find us travelling, scuba diving, enjoying live music or, more likely, walking through an empty house and imagining what it could become.
